- Hundreds of Northwest Indiana Citizens Plan Region's Future
- January 05, 2009
Nearly 500 Northwest Indiana residents gathered on December 6 for a public forum to plan the future of the region.
The Forum on the Future of Northwest Indiana was convened by the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Comission (NIRPC) as part of its two-year effort to develop a plan to address the changing face of the area by 2040.
The meeting used a "21st Century Town Hall" format, featuring small group discussions and state-of-the-art keypad polling to get instant feedback from participants.
VDC managed communications for the event, developing outreach materials and garnining media attention from all over the region.
