The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is Where the City Meets the World
The Chicago Council on Global Affairs helps spur informed, nuanced thought and discussion on global issues through public opinion studies, reports on international commerce and global economics, and events featuring engaging and respected authors, officials, experts and heads of state.
Valerie Denney Communications orchestrates media coverage of Council events featuring some of the biggest newsmakers on the world scene. VDC’s recent efforts have generated widespread attention for appearances by U.S. Senator Barack Obama, Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and Australian Prime Minister John Howard.
VDC also managed the unveiling of the Council’s new name and logo, which debuted in November of 2006, and the Mexican American Task Force Report, released in September of 2006.
