Chicago Community Loan Fund: Shining Bright for 15 Years

For 15 years, the Chicago Community Loan Fund (CCLF) has helped turn vacant lots and abandoned buildings into affordable housing and community centers. CCLF, a nonprofit lender that finances a variety of community development projects, celebrated its 15th anniversary at an evening reception in 2006, in the restored Grand Ballroom in the Woodlawn community.

Valerie Denney Communications worked closely with CCLF to create an overall event plan and theme, event materials and program. VDC consulted on all aspects of the event logistics and helped set the mood and tone of the night.

More than 300 guests, including financial professionals, nonprofit partners, community leaders and elected officials gathered at the gala to honor CCLF. VDC also garnered a feature story in Crain’s Chicago Business highlighting CCLF’s most recent work.
